Over the course of a year, PlayGround casts more than a hundred Bay Area actors for the company’s Monday Night PlayGround staged reading series, The Best of PlayGround Festival and various play readings and workshops. On average, nearly three-quarters of all PlayGround actors are members of Actors’ Equity Association.

PlayGround currently does not hold open auditions but does participate, through our casting director Annie Stuart, in the Theatre Bay Area general auditions. Additionally, actors performing locally are encouraged to send a postcard or note, attention: casting director, with information on upcoming appearances.
